31 Weeks....Pineapple!
Yesterday, I entered the 31st week of my pregnancy...which means only 9 more weeks till my due date. I'm told the next 9 weeks will go by quickly... Before the recap of the 31st week... Below are photographs from weeks 25 - 30.
26 Weeks (at my sister's wedding!) |
28 Weeks (at my work bathroom) |
30 Weeks |
31 Weeks |
Fruit/Veggie comparison: Pineapple .. according to The Bump
Maternity Clothes: All maternity... couple of my maternity tops are starting to not fit....
Sleep: Leg cramps have improved, but I am waking up at least once in the middle of the night, fun!
Best moment(s) of this week: Nothing beats feeling Logan move... at this point that is.
Miss anything: Still missing the occasional glass of wine, especially during holiday party season.
Food cravings: Any type of pastry.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Last weekend we had BBQ and the smell of sausage made me queasy...
Have you started to show yet: For sure. There is not doubt I am pregnant.
Gender: Boy.
Labor signs: A couple of braxton hicks here and there.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy most of the time, though I am getting a little irritable at night, mostly because I am uncomfortable at that point.
Looking forward to: My doc appt on Monday...and spending the Christmas holiday with my family!
Thoughts: Can't believe Logan's due date is 9 weeks away. 2015 always seemed so far away and now it is in 2 weeks.

25 weeks ...
Photo Cred -- The hubby |
How far along: 25 Weeks
Fruit/Veggie comparison: Baby is the size of a cauliflower! (according to The Bump)
Maternity Clothes: Embracing the maternity tops (see above) and leggings
Sleep: Pretty good, but have started to have bad leg cramps
Best moment(s) of this week: Feeling constant movement from Logan
Miss anything: Wine
Food cravings: Sweets, sweets and more sweets.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing too bad at the moment, my appetite is still large and in charge
Have you started to show yet: Yes! The last two weeks Logan has "popped" or whatever that's supposed to mean.
Gender: Boy
Labor signs: None
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy though I did notice the tiredness is returning, not sure if that's a product of getting closer to the 3rd trimester, or that I'm not sleeping enough. I also notice my hormones make me a little impatient and some of my pet peeves seem to be amplified (aka loud chewing).
Looking forward to: My little sister's wedding this coming weekend!!!
Thoughts: I had my glucose screening test this week, and didn't get a call from my doc, which I assume means all is well! It wasn't terrible, tasted like flat orange sugary soda. I still get a little teary watching commercials involving babies.

23 and 24 weeks...
It's been a busy month (well month(s) in general)... my little sister is getting married next week, and it's otherwise been filled with a bridal shower, bachelorette party, baby shower for a dear friend, my niece's birthday, and a trip to Santa Fe (not to mention the three trips I took for work this month -- I am now an "A List" member for Southwest all due to my travel the last two months for work).
I meant to do a little post about how I was feeling the 23rd and now the 24th week, but instead, you'll get some photographs... I promise a 25th week post (which is this Saturday), with full details of how I am feeling at this moment...Without further ado -
23 Weeks (taken before my dear friend Laura's baby sprinkle) Baby was the size of a grapefruit according to www.thebump.com Photo Cred -- The hubby and daddy to be |
24 Weeks (taken before my niece's third birthday party) Baby is the size of a Cantaloupe according to www.thebump.com Photo Cred -- Liz Banks (soon to be Goertz) |

22 Weeks -- The size of a Papaya
How far along: 22 weeks
Fruit/Vegetable comparison: Papaya (according to The Bump)
Maternity clothes: Work pants were switched to maternity early on.. So. Much.More.Comfortable. Still wearing normal shirts as long as they don't ride up.
Sleep: No issues.
Best moment(s) of this week: A stranger noticing I was pregnant at the airport yesterday. Patrick was able to feel baby move for the first time, which was pretty dang awesome for him.
Miss anything: Wine and champagne -- this weekend I went to Santa Fe with girl friends, and it was so hard not being able to have a nice glass of Pinot Noir.
Movement: Mostly flutters, but can definitely tell it's him moving around.
Food cravings: My appetite has returned in force. Basically, if I see something that I think looks yummy, I will think about it till I am able to get it for myself. Case in point - a co-worker ordered frito pie at lunch last week, it looked so good that I nicely requested my husband pick up the ingredients that night for dinner.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mexican food still doesn't sit right, which is a bummer.
Have you started to show yet: I think so, others might just think I'm bloated. See best moment of the week above.
Gender: Boy!! And, we have a name -- Logan Garrett!
Labor signs: None, though I think I felt a braxton hicks last week but who knows what that really even feels like.
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Generally happy. Second trimester is WAY better than the first. Though, I was a bit moody last night after getting home from travelling most of the day.
Looking forward to: Laura's Sprinkle this weekend, and relaxation.
Thoughts: It is starting to feel more and more real, especially now that I can feel him move and actually look pregnant. I can't believe I am already in the downward slope towards meeting Patrick and I's son Logan. Estimated Due date: February 21, 2015

Exciting news ...
Well -- I'm not sure if anyone reads this anymore -- but I have some exciting news to share!
Patrick and I are PREGNANT!
We are expecting either a boy or girl in late Feb. 2015! We are so excited and cannot wait to meet our new little nugget.
With that being said -- I am going to try to now use this blog to keep a fun record of my pregnancy and marriage, and keep my friends and family updated on this new path in our lives.
So -- I am making this blog private. If you would like to continue reading my blog -- please let me know so I can add you to the list. Shoot me an email at sarabanks@gmail.com with your name and email and I'll add you to the list.
I plan to go private in a week or so.

It's been a long long time, but I'm back again.
Well, it's been well over 8 months since I last posted... What can I say other than the usual diatribe .... life got in the way ... work was busy ... life ... But in all actuality, I forgot about posting. Which, probably means most of my readers (all 10 of you) probably forgot about reading my blog, and that's okay! Hopefully I can snag some more readers as I pick it back up... Be on the lookout for another few posts about my honeymoon, it really was the best!
Until then... I promise another post before January.
